Lynn's Birthday Celebration

I brought Lynn to Gyu Kyu Japanese BBQ Restaurant at Chimjes to celebrate her birthday. It was my first time there as was introduce by my boss. I had made advance reservation few days before hand and when we reached the restaurant, I told the waitress my name. She told me that she can't find my name. I was very surprised as I was sure I had made a reservation. The restaurant was fully packed. I insisted a book a seat and they had no choice but to give me a seat and asked me if I could finished my dinner within an hour. I told the waitress that shouldn't be a problem. I order a seafood set, sausage, cod fish, chicken & rice. Was quite amazed by the hotplate as it was really different from others BBQ. The food was served not long after order. We managed to finish the whole course by 45mins. The food served was in very small portion, taste great but price was quite expensive. Lynn said it was not worth to eat here with that amount of food.

Frankly we wasn't that full after finished, so we went to have a chat the Bobby's bar at Chimjes. We order a seafood platter set to continue munching. Lynn order a cranberry juice and I got a Sex on the beach. Wow..... We had a nice long chat and both of us enjoyed ourself very much and after that we took a cab home together.

Teacher's Day Gift

I bake chocolate chip muffin for Teacher's Day for Chloe's teacher. I also bake & sell this online and one of the forum mummy brought it from me. I sold a total of 22 boxes. I start baking late night to early morning. Baking, waiting for the muffin to cool and then pack into boxes. My husband help me with the washing & packing into the boxes and stay up with me till everything done. Feedback from the buyer & teachers that the muffins are soft and good. Maybe not everyone like soft muffin so maybe next time should inform the buyer that the muffin is more to the soft type. Guess, I still need more pratice for improvement.

He brought me a Diamond ring from Destinee which I wish to had on my this year birthday. Guess also replace last year 10th year anniversary gift. hahaha.....

Getting Excited

I am getting excited for doing the chocolate chip muffin for this coming Friday for Teacher's day . Although I only recevied 1 order from a forum mummy, I am already contented, happy and a great start for me . Thanks for supporting me XXX mummy. This is my first sale, first business. Hope she will like my muffin. I will also give my daughter's teacher muffin for this year Teacher's day. Looking forward to that day.

My Dearest Cousin Yiling's 21st birthday

I and my family attended my dearest cousin Yiling's 21st birthday last week. She held her birthday party at Aloha Changi Chalet. It was a big chalet with 1 big living room & kitchen, 1 balcony with BBQ pit, 4 bedroom with attach toilet and 2 storey high. I brought her a adidas sling bag and do a handmade card for her. Hope she like the present.

New Baby Bonus

Government just annouced the new Baby Bonus scheme wef 17 Aug 2008.

1) Maternity Leave from 12 weeks to 16 weeks.
Not for me man.... Not going to have another baby bcos of this. Morever, employer will be unhappy bcos of this and will source for another person to cover you. Dont think is good to have more leave.

2) More incentives (CDA) for 1st & 2nd child $6000, 3rd & 4th $12000, 5th child onwards $18000
Hahaha definitetly not for me.

3) Childcare subsidize - from $150 to $300
Yeah! Will be a great saving for me. But guess the childcare centre will increase the school fee after that.

4) Childcare Leave - 2days to 6days
Wow... there's alot man, but my company dont give :(
